With 25 years of multi-spindle experience and a broad suite of machines spanning a wide range of bar diameters and part types, we deliver high-volume turned components at a cost per part that sliding-head and fixed-head alternatives simply cannot match, typically for batch sizes of 1,000 parts or more.

Our CNC-controlled multi-spindle lathes feature Y-axis movement and driven milling capabilities, meaning turned components that also require milled features can be completed in a single operation. This reduces handling, shortens lead times, and keeps cost per part competitive.

We also operate an Index MS22 8-spindle machine: a 22mm model with twin pickoff that, with two additional spindles over a standard twin-spindle machine, can achieve cycle time reductions of up to 50% on suitable components.

The Tornos CAM MultiSwiss 6x16 is among the fastest and most precise machines available today for small-part manufacture, producing parts as small as 4mm at high volume.

Pfiffner Hydromat Rotary Transfer

Turnspeed also operates three Pfiffner Hydromat rotary transfer machines, a capability that is genuinely uncommon within UK sub-contract precision machining. Hydromat technology combines hydraulically controlled rotary transfer with CNC precision, making it highly effective for complex, high-volume components that would otherwise require multiple setups with conventional turning or multi-spindle approaches.

Our Hydromat capacity consists of one 12-station machine and two 16-station machines, all capable of producing unique high-volume parts depending on order requirements.

Once machined, components can move directly into our assembly and call-off service.
In-house zinc plating is available for components requiring corrosion protection.
